Announcing "2019, A Future Imagined"

. . . a new DVD featurette certain to be of interest to sci-fi fans all over the world.
In "2019, A Future Imagined," Visual Futurist Syd Mead (Blade Runner, Aliens, Tron) reflects upon the nature of creativity and how it drives the future. Photographed in true 1920x1080p high definition, this short film provides insight into the fascinating mind of one of the most influential artists of modern cinema.

Writes Jay West of AlienExperience.com

"2019: A Future Imagined" deftly captures what makes Mead's futuristic designs and ideas so poignant and engaging. Relayed with an ethereal visual style and sci-fi vibrancy, "2019" invites viewers to indulge in Mead's world of art's symbiotic relationship with technology in an engaging and captivating way. A must see for those who love art, sci-fi, fantasy, and movies . . . and an essential companion piece to Blade Runner and Mead's work."

The featurette is now available on DVD through the Tribeca Film Institute's ReFrame Collection at a very low price.

We are excited to share this release and trust that you will find it to be of interest to Bladezone readers. We hope the release will demonstrate a broad and significant market interest for a longer format program on Syd and his work.
